Soooo, old thread revival...

Time moves on, as does technology. The first generation digital jukeboxes that replaced the CD units are now getting replaced with newer smaller/quicker/advanced models.

I've got a few of the Sound Leisure "MIM" or "TOTP" (Milestones in Music, Top Of The Pops)

These are all MP3 audio (unfortunately are encrypted, I've had a little play trying to hack them over the years but never really got very far), so you can't just add your own music to them easily, unlike the CD ones where you just stick in a new disc.

These have the top 40 dating back to 1960 ish, so a lot of music (the jukebox I currently have available has 81649 tracks on it) and they're all sorted into genres, rock, pop, dance, indie, 2000's, 2010's, classical, blues, jazz etc etc.
If you search, you can look for artist or title, or date and it'll show you the top 40 for the date or special event you've chosen.
As they're not modern, most of these run windows XP, a few are windows vista. and due to the way the category software works and loads up, from turning the mains "on" you're looking at about 20 minutes before the box is up and running ready to play (the new digi ones are as fast as your laptop... 2 or 3 minutes from cold) but this is just the way they are.... they were like this brand new from the factory.

This one here hasn't been updated since December 2023 (when it was cancelled) but as a domestic user you can start a contract with SoundNet, I think it's about £25 per month for the contract, and they send you a disc or a download link every 2 weeks with a music update for the top 40 and the other genres. Usually you get around 120 tracks per update.
These machines aren't online, they're stand alone (although if you start an update contract you can pug them into your router, and with some settings they will auto update)
But if you're happy with the music content as it is, then no updates are needed and they'll happily continue un-updated.

You can plug in auxiliary audio devices (ipod, sky box etc) and also take a phono out to external amplifiers.
These also have a 2 zone amplifier, but I can upgrade them to 4 zone (so you'd have 2 volume controls on the side)
DJ mode also allows you to change a playlist, change the order of selected tracks, and you can also create your own music playlists so (as I used to at home) have a rock and a dance listing which I had all my favourite songs on, and just choose if I wanted rock or dance (and they can be set to play randomly)
random BGM (background music) can be set to play a track every xx minutes, or just to play random music full time (unless you select a track which will then override the BGM track)
And BGM timers can be set, so for example from 1000 until 1300h would play classical, then from 1400-1800 play rock. it's easy to setup on the touch screen.
I also created a christmas selection, so that time of year it would just play non stop christmas shte...

I have a limited supply of speakers available so can include a pair of either smaller or larger bass'ier ones.
Bear in mind these are all ex-pub, so not pristine but also not totally mangled up!

Looking at £300 each £200. Fitting just requires a solid wall and a mains supply, and to run the speaker wires up. I can do this but would have to quote for the job depending on where the cable run was going.

Pickup is preferred, in Swindon, SN5, although I'll strap it to a pallet if you're OK to arrange a courier. or forum relay etc etc.

Thanks all.
