Remove the three screws along the top of the dash, the two which hold the grab handle. Two each side on the vertical side by the front doors and three each side at the bottom of the dash panel by the fuse box. Centre panel and steering wheel stay in place. When pulled away there's ample room to change the switch. You can remove the motor if it makes it easier. Remove wiper arms. Undo the nut which joins the rack tube to the motor, remove one bolt on the stirrup which holds the motor and the electrical connector. The motor can then be withdrawn with the wire rack. Allow an hour if removing the motor. I started with nothing and still have most of it left!

Glad to be of any help. Thirty mins is good, I normally have to have a break every half an hour as my hands will no longer take the abuse they once did 50 years ago and start to cramp. Shame you're so far away as I'd happily pay for 15 mins labour if I had to do it again. I started with nothing and still have most of it left! |
