If someone is selling a Defender bonnet privately, they will surely be able to prove where they have got it from. It comes across as strange when the advertiser doesnīt describe it more accurately. Puma (2007+) bonnet (which white?) with hinges and Land Rover badges(in black) - came off a 2011 2.4.....or something along those lines.
It does read like he is selling a bonnet for a friend (who has no internet?!). Very shady, in my view! 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |

Romadog as iv said it might be genuine.
But your telling me that advert doesn't look dodgy? No price, no information of the car its came from. Might well be genuine but thought I would share it just incase. |

I would be curious what possible reason someone has for selling a completely undamaged bonnet?

A brand new bonnet from LR comes in primer paint without hinges etc. The only reason I can think of for someone selling a genuine Puma bonnet is if the Puma has been written off. Most genuine Puma bonnets are sold by LR/4x4 dismantlers.
