Wales 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Keswick Green
[Wanted] 90 TD5 Defender
MIL managed to roll their farm 90 TD5 Truck cab. Bog standard basic 90, which was the main form of transport for the family's elderly uncle.

90 TD5 now seem to be like hens teeth- well at decent money anyway- eg- there's a dealer on Ebay, with an 05 plate 90, with 50k on the clock, who wants £9,950- the same money as he wants for a 58 plate Puma 90, with 40k on the clock...

Trouble is, we've got a 90 Puma truck cab on my parents farm- and I know the elderly uncle will likely have problems with the huge dashboard, so I think we're stuck with the TD5

Anyone know of any tidy, bog standard (his old one didn't even have a radio fitted), td5 90s going at sensible money?

Thanks!

Exactly the problem I had when looking. Td5 90's hold a very, very strong premium for whatever reason
The cheapest one I had found was a 98 with a rotten chassis, for £3.5k Shocked

I ended up with a solid 03 110 DCPU for £5k in the end, pretty much half the price of a decent Td5 90 of any age Laughing

It's the "simplicity" apparently, not that the td5 is all that simple, but it can be swapped out fairly cheaply, whilst the Pumas aren't as straight forward... I Also remember a main dealer near here telling me he had a number of cancelled orders on his books when the Pumas first came out, for old farmers who'd regularly changed their 90 truck cab defenders on the dot every three years. Most would order a new blue one on the phone, and not realise until delivery, how little room there is in a Puma truck cab. It's the main reason my father will jump in the m reg 300tdi truck cab we have on the farm, before the Puma truck cab- although he won't admit it!
