If by pull up you mean the old series doors then they are my preferred choice and will replace the one piece doors currently fitted to my project.
Security, give me a few seconds and I can be in (not using a key). 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

Thanks for the advice. It's becoming apparent that Land Rovers aren't best known for their robust levels of security regardless of what type of door lock you have. Here's the link to the doors I'm considering:

Yep that's the style I'm fitting, at the end of the day it takes seconds to gain entry to any car if someone wants too, so it boils down to no valuables in sight and for the defender a layered security. A to be polite will always pick the easiest one so doors are similar but if you have a pedal box fitted and the one two cars down doesn't, guess which one will opt for.
For me the series style door is the best looking and with the capping it flows with the body cappings to make it prettier to the eye. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

I literally fitted these doors to my 90 yesterday!!!
I have military door tops though. You will need to drill the lock holes in the door, they do supply a step drill, so it's real easy. I haven't fitted the latch to the tub yet. That's this evenings job! |

ive got the same doors on my 90 too. couple of suggestions...
1.) drill some holes in the door frames and fill them with some rust proofing stuff. 2.) have a look at the rocky mountain door tops. ive got them and can highly highly recommend. the quality is A+. |

^^ plus one for the drilling of holes, I have 3 in the base of mine to allow regular top ups of wax oil.

I put military spec doors on my old 90 and my challenge car. Much cheaper than pushbutton doors and give a little more elbow room. Only downside is they let more noise through due to being single skin
