I bought a stolen recovered Puma last year, when sorting the electrics discovered the way they had disabled the alarm was to slide underneath and cut the power cable going from the battery to fuse box under drivers seat. It just runs unprotected in a plastic sleeve between the two boxes. Have put a galvanised pipe across and run it through that. Anyone tries it now is in for a surprise!

What are the best things to mod/add for security as every morning I open my curtains I wonder if it will still be there!

I have a Td5 with aircon so limits some options.

What are peoples views on:

trackers
kill switches
disklocs
pedal locks
extra alarms
etc
etc

I have a Tracker, a x-eng steering lock, and some sundry stuff but am still paranoid, I don't have a steering pedal or gear lock so that's next but id still like more so am interested in any innovative ideas. Does etching dissuade the parts strippers, anyone have any idea?

Garage it and keep the doors locked.

I spoke with the Police some time ago, and they were saying they had raided various 'breakers' who they believed were selling stolen parts, but because they were unable to identify the parts as being stolen, they were unable to take any action. So I should say yes, use something like smartwater - it may not stop a motor getting nicked and broken up, but it may lead to the arrest of a gang who do this, and that has got to be good for other owners. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....
