Suffolk Land Rover Owners Club is set to return to Ipswich’s Trinity Park this year with more than 30 vehicles, all revving up to raise money for charity at the show, which takes place on June 1 and 2. In 2015, almost 3,500 show goers motored around the off road course in a variety of models including Defenders, Discoveries, Range Rovers and 101s and in the process raised almost £10,000 for local charities including Suffolk Accident Rescue Service, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Suffolk Greyhound and Lurcher Support Group. This year, 60 club members will return to the specially constructed course to thrill even more visitors with the aim of beating last year’s fundraising target. With a huge range of cars tackling the course including ex-armed forces vehicles and modified buggies all visitors, whatever age or ability can enjoy a ride. Every year club members provide their vehicles, fuel and time free of charge. “The Suffolk Show is one of the highlights of our annual calendar and a fantastic opportunity to boost our fundraising efforts,” said club chairman Chris Finbow. “For our members, sharing their passion and enjoyment for their Land Rovers with show goers is always a memorable experience.” Show president Bill Baker said: “We are delighted to welcome back the Suffolk Land Rover Owners Club, not only are they a firm favourite with our visitors but they also do an amazing job in raising money for local charities.” The announcement for the Suffolk Land Rover Club’s chosen charities for 2016 will be made later in the year. Tickets for this year’s Suffolk Show are now on sale – save £6 per ticket by purchasing in advance. Advanced tickets cost £21 and prices have been held at last year’s rate. Children aged under 15 will once again receive free entry. For more information visit the Suffolk Show website - http://suffolkshow.co.uk/ |
