What Have I Done???
Hi folks,

A quick question......

I replaced my plastic headlight surrounds & Grille earlier in the week.

The previous owner had wired the sidelights & indicators up without using any connectors to allow me to unplug & remove, so I had to cut the wires, solder on connectors to allow me to get the job done satisfactorily

The drivers side job was no problem and when I re connected everything it all worked without fuss

The passenger after doing the exact same thing isn't working.
No sidelight or flash from the indicator.

The repeater on the nearside wing is OK (well flashing quickly but I accept that because the front isn't flashing)

I cut the nearside wires for the sidelight & indicators using pliers (so positive & negative simultaneously)

Ignition wasn't on, could I have popped a fuse for the indicator and sidelight?

Front end all fresh looking but also faulty!!! Crying or Very sad

It's an '88 200tdi if it matters.

Cheers

If you can get one, there is a connection block located on the inner wing, if you disconnect it there you can see if you are getting voltage, if you are it will just be a case of doing continuity test of the cables from this block to the lights. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

You should be able to reach them through the engine bay, worst case would be taking the eyebrow off. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Everything was working perfectly before I started the job ( I did check)

But I haven't checked anything, I kinda just bolted it all back together, then walked off in the huff Laughing My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.
