LT85 transmission tunnel
I've read on another forum that the hole for the gearstick in a lt85 transmission tunnel is an inch and a half closer to the bulkhead than on an R380 gearbox. The lt85 tunnel supposedly should fit in place of the R380 one. Can anyone confirm this? If it's the case it would explain why my v8 air filter will not fit between the engine and bulkhead. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

You should only have a change re the air filter if the engine has moved on its mounts. Seems odd as these are not adjustable and neither is the bulkhead position.

The engine has been retrofitted, it was originally a 300tdi. The gearbox is on the original R380 mounts and the engine mounts where moved to suit. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

I know, I have an lt85 with v8 inside my vehicle working. Not what I'm asking, I just want to find out if the hole in the transmission tunnel is in a different place on the lt85 transmission tunnel. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon
