This post will no doubt change a bit as trying to find the right code to have photobucket pictures on here so please bare with me
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 90 HT now sold, Neighbours loved us that month!!! Click image to enlarge WIPAC LEDs with originals Click image to enlarge Sawtooths fitted with Continental Cross Tracs Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Well that escalated quickly lol. No one said on 110s the Seat box has to come out to do the Seat trays!! Click image to enlarge Ohh Hole!! Also starting to go where the wheel arch meets the upright. Also shows PO seatbelt mount!! Click image to enlarge That was easy!! Click image to enlarge Hmmm rust, can clearly see where the wheel arch is going, YRM repair panel replaces that bit Click image to enlarge Kind of explained why the body shock when you closed the door. Not much strength left! Click image to enlarge New bits going in, Sprayed them all with Weld through zinc primer to give some protection Click image to enlarge Counter sunk rivets how kool are they Click image to enlarge PO decided these wernt needed with 2mm chequer plate!! So had to get new ones Click image to enlarge New bits all fitted, New C-post both sides, Upstand, Floor supports fore n aft and tub floor. Click image to enlarge Might be October but sure felt like crimbo Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge No better time to work on Landys than in the dark and rain!!! Click image to enlarge hmmmmmm, Had fun fitting these as my seat box uses the 2 bolt fixings but these are later 2 bolt. And you cant get it bang on center but got close enough!! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge New rear 2nd row seat belt mounts Click image to enlarge New Shoes!!!! Click image to enlarge Nokian Winter tyres Im sure I have more photos but for now that's it lol. Sorry for the lack of response work month n month in the middle east and was away all my last trip in Scotland.
So before I went away in Nov and the first couple days back in Dec inc X-mas day was spent on the 110. Got the wiring finished inc the twin batteries and that. Went on hols to Scotland where the Passengers wiper decided it liked New Castle so flew off as we went past!!! 110 Was brilliant in the Outer Hebrideas and some how managed high 20s low 30mpg. Unfortlantly near the end the front prop failed so had to whip that off and drive around in Difflock. Spent a couple nights in Edinburgh on the way back where I had both Front and Rear props waiting for me at the hotel as well as new wiper arm. Used the wipers and poff smoke and heat coming from passengers corner of the dash. Whipped it out to find out the motor was fried. Managed to get it working. Then as we got on the A68 it failed. After an hour trying to fix it and several calls to local 'Specialists' who didnt have parts found a bloke hidden away in the middle of nowhere with a heap of Series and 90s' 110 and a Cuthbert. Great bloke had a second hand unit and after some playing got it working, for some reason the Park doesnt work no matter what we tried but didnt bother me as atleast I had wipers. That was me till this trip home!!! Was out driving and suddenly had a box full of Neutrals! Got the yellow taxi home, Thought it was the clutch fork so ordered a HD one of them along with the clutch kit. Got it fitted by a local Clutch center who showed me that the release bearing had melted and failed!!!!!! Also the gearbox was only held on my 4 bolts!!! So they replaced them and found some others to fit. So now it drives alot quieter and the clutch is now a feather weight compared to before!! Plan on trying to get the 2nd row seats in this trip but we will see what happens. Will try and remember to post some pics up later |

Nice strip down and well documented with lovely new parts But have I missed something ? I'm hoping that you cleaned , painted and waxoyled that messy chassis before the nice rebuild. Keith |

Cheers bud, Its kinda 50 50 on the chassis, It obviously got a re-chassis very recently and all that is on it is hardened Norfolk Mud/Dust which was cleaned off. The plan is to get it profesionally coated just need to get a min to decide who to go to and that.
Was only planing on doing the seat box then found the C-pillar and did the rear floor!!! Just the doors to get replaced and find all the leaks and plug them !! |
