I enjoyed tackling this job on my mates D2. Avoid the cheap Britpart rocker cover gasket though as they don't fit nearly as well as the OE one. 1951 80" S1 2.0

draining fuel
very interesting write up the only thing I would add is to stress the need to drain the fuel as if this is missed the fuel left in the head when the first injector is lifted will sit on the piston then when engine is started you end up with a bent con rod only added this as I know I like short cuts and I don't think im the only one

I suck the bores out with a vacuum gun as you end up with brake cleaner etc down there as well from cleaning the seats
