I'm not trying to annoy anyone here cause I know there tends to lots of problems with these beasts but just wanted to let everyone know I'm lovin it.
chuffed with the colour, chuffed with the £200 road tax, chuffed with the nfu discount I got, chuffed with the way the engine seems to have settled down now and is running smooth as I would have expected (been a little hit and miss / rough in the early days - I'm sure there were egr issues), chuffed its running nicely on home made fuel and it just goes on...... ok theres a few issues - but then what did you expect? it already had to have the rear cab section aligned prior to pick up and now its going in again to solve the leaks to the rear where some muppet on production forgot to put some sealing strips in the floor pan |

aha - well I saved myself a few miles by getting the rear top section re-aligned before picking it up.
and more recently I've been 'tweeking' the door alignment myself. done far more miles than you ti fat man although I seem to recally you've had yours a wee bit longer than me - and I didn't think I was using mine enough! - c3200 miles. and now its runnings properly sweet on a mix of c50% home made bio. got myself some nice cheap oil ready for the first oil change at 6k miles (oil - the engine relies on it !). how is yours going? it goes in next week to see the physio for 5 days to sort the leaks out in the boot. I'll ask them about a free coat of wax oil while they're at it prevent further rust on the chassis and sus components etc. |

mines running well too, no problems to report and all good, not many to the gallon currently but that will improve as the engine settles possibly.
i did my first oil change at 1000miles and will change now at 6k miles and then every 6k. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
