Tweeter Polarity
Just fitting a "Stage 2" ICE upgrade. Alpine subwoofer and replacement rear speakers fitted and all good. The last part of the job is replacing the front speakers and tweeters using the newly supplied crossovers. The tweeters don't have polarity markings. Each has a black and a black/thin white trace lead. Which is positive and which negative? Getting a bit knackered (hot sunny day) and don't want to make a simple/ silly mistake. Thanks

Hi integrale, in the UK usually the black lead with the white stripe would indicate the positive pole.

We use a lot of 12v devices in our line of work and when we have a prewired unit, we will use the white stripe as positive.

Can you RTFM to check? Cheers Simon

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you

I just quickly checked a Pioneer manual and it shows the white stripe as positive. Do you have the installation data?

Thanks Simon. No manual came with the kit, and what info was provided doesn't help.
