Just whack a load in, any cv grease works, buy it in cartridge grease gun style cases, its cheaper and easier to add. To check it with a tent peg it would have to hot enough to be in liquid form surely? Cheers

In my experience they only leak when one or both bearings are worn/wearing leaving a gap between the seal and cup, or when the cup gets damaged/scored.
Well worth checking the bearing preload is set properly using the shims as per the workshop manual. As for the grease, pointless measuring it as it's not in liquid form. When empty you use one sachet/tube of one shot grease. Maybe go for half a tube as it looks like you've lost a fair bit.
