Don't give up! There are still a few gems to be found hidden away. Harwoods have an ex-demo 90 HT sitting in their showroom in Tonbridge with about 900 miles on so although that's not suitable for you it shows that they are out there.

Thanks for the encouragement Mach1 I shall perservere. This does appear to be a gaps in the system although quite understandably. Land Rover want buyers to go to their nearest dealer and place an order which is fine until the model goes out of production, then it's a case of trying as many dealers as possible (even in the same franchise) to see who has what.

Le Grenadier, a new one is my hearts desire, with the leather up grade too. Might as well go the whole hog. Like you I believe there has to be one out there although I might have to compromise in the end.

Must say, I'm doing the opposite. I've just been wasting more of my afternoon looking at Ryderoo's search (thank you, kind sir), which is a daily pursuit and even seen a Keswick for sixteen grand, that piques my interest. I am thinking used, but in good nick, and ideally a XS variant for the carpet, AC (another thread to follow on that) and Elec windows. And then, depending what's left over of my budget, straight to Urban, Bowler etc, for a tune, trim, wheel and bits/bobs upgrade etc, to make it as unique as possible. This WILL be my keeper.... there are near zero mileage defenders on ebay some still not registered but big prices and a few 110 and a 130 DC (search by highest price first) DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
