'...i dont want people to think i am trying to be an 'adventure' copy...'
Always a problem when a manufacturer gets their a*** into gear and produces some nice stuff. I'm studying wheels at the mo, and must say I like the adventure versions. A lot. But will I be able to get any? Will it look naff if not stuck to a tangy orange brick shaped vehicle designed in the 1950's? Mmmm. But I still can't get past this Urban. So the question. Buy a cheeky DC i have seen for approx 16k and with a max budget of 27k get the paint job done with associated mods. Or get a black/corris etc, add the same mods and keep it simples. Can't decide.... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

How about buying a very basic version and keep it as it is?

Agreed, it often gives people the excuse to use the following emoticons Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

I think it was spot on of Paul Smith, when he recently stated the defender looked so right because it was engineered not designed. It was form following function.
That's what I like about it - this grill seems the antithesis of this, so I'm out. The irony of quoting Paul Smith in this context is not lost on me. |

The Khan front end is awful. Truly styling for stylings sake and failing in an epic manner.
Still I suppose it is aimed at the more money than sense brigade. Or should that be more money than taste ? Ghastly tat. Mo The Land Rover 90 - Many are called, few are chosen. 50 Shades of Pennine Grey |

I guess that Urban model has some power upgrades?
The RS badge looks a bit iffy if not (I bet it has a corvette engine), not keen on seeing the rad fan either.. as for the OP grille I quite like it, good job we are all different, but then I changed my original for a KBX premium. |

No, I don't. Do you? Click image to enlarge You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Eric, not less 'styling for stylings sake' than a Kahn front end, unless you can explain the functionality of it over the unpainted 'original' front end.
Wether you like it or not is another matter. I'm no fan of it, but as I said before, we are all different, so just 'bling' up your car as you please. Even if you drove a Kahn version, I'd be the last one to use a |
