Drag link
I'm currently in the middle of replacing the ball joint on the end of the drag link for the MOT. Now apologies if this is a dumbass question but should the drag link bar be straight or is there a slight bend in it? Confused Neutral

There are two bends in mine! So much so it looks like it has been formed like that intentionally, rather than as a result of a prang. But so slight I couldn't see the advantage or reason over a straight section. Probably been bent and attempted to be restraightened in the past.

I guess I'll replace it, wonder what else I shall find upstream Mr. Green

Is it lifted at all or was possibly at some point?

I looks as though it's all as it was originally and has never been modified.

But I've only owned it for the past 1 of it's 13 years, so I couldn't be 100% sure!

Ruts etc. can bend them when off-road. Especially if it is not the original, the aftermarket track rods are ridiculously easy to bend as they are made of the finest Chinese cheese metal.

Replaced mine with a Sumo bar from Gwyn Lewis after tiring of straightening it after every green lane outing.
