Is that the equivalent of a vajazzle for men?

Don't bother with the short bolts go directly for the swarovski crystals

Am not sure if Matt Lees are still trading ......Brendan

Hi Brendan, unfortunately he stopped quite some considerable time ago. Only the non-beadlockers were road legal. The ones advertised as Mach 5 and being sold now are alloy not steel. Am unsure what arrangements he made about the name usage on the alloys sold today?

Mach 5 where an excellent wheel and put out of business by cheap Chinese copies.......

Part of the Closing Statement from Matt Lee.....

Hi

Just like to thank all long term customers for supporting and dealing with us over the past 25 years, but due to overseas manufacturing and thoughtless companies copying, the original Mach 5 wheel production is over!

We have had great pleasure from many satisfied customers, including James Bonds tv crew from Skyfall.

Unfortunately in today's world, people have no feelings or respect and don't appreciate what goes into design and development, then production, which is another story!

What I think is, if the product was no good no one would copy it!.........

Chinese copies?

David Southdown stopped making a lot of items as people were copying his design and knocking them up in their garage after work.

Have had people offer us various items which are very cheap with stories such as my boss allows me to use the offcuts at work when they really mean, I nick the materials from work, use the bosses electricity, welding gear etc do it in works time etc, etc. Product insurance, what is that? Pay business rates? Quality control? Physical testing? well I pulled my mate out of a bog so it is strong enough. Of course it is waterproof, I have ducked it in a bucket of water for 10 minutes! etc etc.

If you're still looking, there are a set of these wheels and tyres which were actually used in the shooting of the movie (according to the seller) on eBay at the moment...

Aren't Hutchinson bead lock rims road legal? I read somewhere that they are. Maybe an option for you? It's on my wish list. Mr. Green

Yes, this has been discussed before as I asked much the same question a week or two back as a I plan to get a DC in the near future. Brendan very kindly offered the same, extremely useful advice. Thanks again Brendan Thumbs Up .

I did wonder if there is a way round the 'legal' issue however. Having perused the Terra Firma website, I have made one observation. Given I am only after the Beadlocks for 'looks' and not for actual off-road application, it occurred to me I could merely buy the TF base wheel and fit shortened versions of the bolts, assuming the holes in the rim are standard threaded bolt receivers. This way I achieve the look of a rugged wheel with bolted 'outer' but without the legal issues of the actual extra rim being added and whilst retaining a road legal wheel. Thumbs Up

Assuming 90% of people who like Beadlocks also like them mainly for their looks rather perhaps this is the way to go?

Voila, picture chrome bolts added to this wheel. To most casual observers, not too much difference I would suggest:

Good idea Thumbs Up FYI here is a pic of the same wheel fitted with the beadlocks
