In general I have moved on from older Land Rovers to newer ones, featuring mod cons. But this took my breath away - so I thought I would share it.
Some sample images - more photo's and the write up in the link below Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge http://expeditionportal.com/featured-vehic...e-trailer/[/url] New project and it's green: www.projectoverland.info |

Perfect. In fact, if I were going to build a series 3 that would be almost exactly what I would build (except mine would be nowhere near as polished). The engine & 5spd gearbox are what the vehicle needs to make it useable in the modern world but I probably wouldn't bother with the power steering. A well maintained manual steering system can actually be a joy to drive if everything is in good order.

oops - my bad. I checked General, Off Topic and Photo's Vids but not Series.
And that is why I put it in General, because I never ever look in Series. I found it on Expedition Portal and it was so lovely I thought others might appreciate it, not just people who look at Series, but people who are into expedition stuff, and people who just appreciated the level of detail that went in to it.
