What the HELL are you all banging on about? Paper cups at Waitrose I tell you, at WAITROSE. I'm beside myself and woke up in sweats last night. Next it will be plastic wine glasses at M&S cafes. Keep on topic you lot. Heaven forbid.

I think the Heritage Land Rover enamled mugs should be carried at all times to make sure your beverage has a bit of respect

I reckon a "Land Rover Enamelled Mug" would be a bit too high-brow for Waitrose!!

Now now Monsieur Le Grenadier, your beginning to worry me. But I agree times are changing... I do recall being a guest at a party where they not only served champagne from a plastic disposable cup, but also served red wine with fish! I recently attended a dinner party where the Port was served before dinner! What's all that about?

Port, particularly a young port can be used as an alcoholic aperitif to be served before a meal to stimulate the palate. Of course to know such things you have to be bloody posh and have impeccable breeding. Pater and uncle Roddy taught me these skills at a very young age so as not to make any uncomfortable objections to our host when fine dining. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Blimey! Didn't know that, mind you the kind of dinner companion I normally meet only offers me a swig of their meths. Seriously though I find Port too sweet for an aperitif and lingers too long on the palate. Regards to your Dad and uncle Rod. ![]() |
