difflock light faded and is gone now

hy!

my difflock light started beginning to fade and come on very late when engaged and is totaly gone now but difflock still works

any suggestions ?

The switch is mounted in the side of the tbox, you can either crawl underneath or much easier is to remove the transmission tunnel. Check the connections (two spades), these may either be loose or covered in dirt, whilst apart wou can bridge the two female spades (loom side) to test the rest of the loom. If everything is fine it could be either the switch needs adjusting or it is broken, you can wind the switch out to test it easily, if it is all ok then simply wind it back in until the light illuminates (have the tbox with 3rd diff lock on).
