can you tax a vehicle with just new owner green slip?
The new owner of a car I want to buy has only had it a week and has not received her V5 yet but does have the green tear off slip. If I paid her the money I wonder if we can tax it from the green slip!? Think it may have to OG back to the original owner Grrr!

You can do it online with just the green slip V5C/2
Go to this site

https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax

Click: on START NOW

Click: I don't have a V11 reminder in my name

Click: I have recently bought this vehicle; I have a V5C/2

Its easy from there I did mine a few weeks ago the very day I purchased it!! Thumbs Up 2010 Defender 90 HT

The longer I live..... The better I was!

Problem with doing that is when you put the car in your name she'll get a refund of your tax money ....
