Looks like a third winch for self righting? Well thought out and executed build, very impressed.

I believe the Dutch were the first to use the mid mounted winch and it was used to allow traverse of seriously steep slopes, without rolling, not for recovery.

Impressive to see them in use. 80" 1948

OK, I bet its mega fun, has Defender doors, and steering box, and radiator, but come on chaps not really a Defender is it.

I built a Cobra replica once, used the wipers and heater from a scrap Spitfire, and used the old reg number. That wasn't really a Spitfire, as I was warned by the Boys in Blue when I got stopped once Rolling with laughter 2015 90 XS SW Bowler

Heavy and slow, would prefer to keep the rover axles and use Tibus hubs. But then mine would need to be suitable for road use too. 80" 1948
