1987 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Epsom Green
Rear door mount issues
I have a set of 16" bowler rims (which by the way are fantastic), but I have gone to mount the spare on the door and with the alloy nuts supplied, when they are screwed in, the wheel is loose, either I need a spacer behind the wheel or I need nuts with greater depth...
Has anyone else experienced this and which route did you go down to get it secure.

Hi Pete

When I had my 18in Bowler wheels fitted the adjuster nuts behind the wheel were wound out to suit the offset before it was fitted to the carrier, yours may need a bit of fettling, you can see them on the image below.

Thanks for that. The set up on mine is different, I will take a photo in the light and post it up.
