Might be a bit of a dull question but as someone that hasn't got a motor new enough for a DPF to be fitted, how long do you have to "vigourously" drive the things to regenerate them? Can you not just drive in a higher gear for a while? I know that my Td5 does drive differently, for the better, after I have driven in lower gears off road. Is this sufficient to clear out the DPF?
