Well galv chassis to start, there are a few doing heritage builds at the moment myself included however I'm doing some future proofing too, I was going to do a back to standard build but that disappeared very quickly once I got stripping down the wagon.
Do a few ideas on some paper of what you like and dislike about the defender then take the dislike list and how you can rectify the problems. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

I'm guessing you meant a 2002 Disco engine and not a 1992 disco engine?
Because if it was a 92 disco engine it is definitely not a Td5 engine! Cool Looking project though! If it is a rare one in Ireland as you say I would use the money to just do some subtle upgrades, preventative maintenance and some soundproofing and keep it as an investment Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Really off topic but does the bowler have internal roll bars as well as the windscreen surround one? And if so do you have any pics? as for the 90, with it being rare I'd just spend the money on making it absolutely perfect and standard Ray

Hi Ray
No just the windscreen protector which has no safety value whatsoever, i suspect. Inside is pretty standard apart from the single loadspace seat and the dynamat, and the Recaros! Click image to enlarge |

Cheers roz
That's exactly what I want too or maybe the outside bar and just the second row (centre section) safety devices inner cage which goes behind the front row seats then above and behind the second row seats, but I want to see more pics of the setup before I buy.
