Question about paint, what to cover the bare metal with?

Hello

Question for people who have done similar?

I'm trying to remove the paint from my sankey trailer and plodding on.... its going to be time consuming.

However I have got some of it down to the bare metal, How do I cover this (protect it) before I then get the trailer sprayed?

The trailer for now is outside under a cover and even if I can it will only be in an un heated garage.

Given it could be months before I get the whole thing back to metal, 30 mins here an hour there...

What can I do to stop it rusting?
