Out of curiosity, why can the diff not get wound up in high range with diff lock engaged? If the centre diff is locked why would high or low range make a difference to it getting wound up?

I've never engaged diff lock in high range so assuming it's possible (can't see why it wouldn't be) I would've also assumed it could get wound up the same way?

The two seperate functions, are connected only by the lever. You can select them independant from one another, or in combination.

It is wise to use both occasionally in order to remain familiar with their function and how to select them. And to be sure that when the moment does arise, they will do the job as intended.

They are both important "weapons" in the Defenderīs armoury Thumbs Up 1998 Tdi 90 SW,
