2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Keswick Green

[Wanted] Hardtop Defender 90

I asked Martin to delete the previous ad because it had become more of a discussion and I've also refined exactly what I'd like to find!

So, what am I looking for...

Wanted is:-

A Puma Defender (2.2 or 2.4) 90 Hardtop (only a H/T).
Cared for from new - by this I mean corrosion prevention.
Full, documented, service history.
Looking for a 90 with average, or lower, annual mileage.
Ideally a MY2012 or newer but would consider older if well cared for.
Solid chassis, cross member, etc

Ideal spec, but NOT essential, would be:-

A Hardtop with ABS and ETC
Alpine windows and rear door side windows
Keswick Green (I know that is very specific but it is in the 'ideal spec' section!)

The key is to find one that has been cared for from new and I appreciate that this and the commercial nature of the vehicle don't always go hand in hand; therefore, I'm happy to wait and be picky. I am looking at the main dealers as well as respected independents.

If any of the members is thinking of selling their pride and joy, please PM me. I'm based in Surrey but if the 90 H/T is a good one, I would travel.

Thought I'd found one today - MY12 Keswick 90 H/T at an independent dealer who didn't specialise in LR product.

After a phone call and him sending me some better photos, it quickly transpired that the one owner 90 he had bought had started life as a pickup. A bit different to the 'one owner, high spec 90 hard top he described it as' and the photos certainly showed that.

The search continues.

2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 ST Santorini Black

Have you seen the one available at Grange Land Rover Swindon. Seems to match your spec but not sure on condition.
It is on ebay but not on their web site.

Defender 90 hard top 2014 Keswick 16k miles £23k (hopefully vat is reclaimable)

I am aware of that one but thank you for mentioning it - appreciated

I did speak with them (not about that car but they did mention it to me during the conversation). Some main dealers (and independents) seem to be trying to create a 'buy now to avoid disappointment' frenzy and pricing accordingly. IMHO, new retail money for a used Defender is ludicrous.

I know the right one will crop up - especially once all the first time owners realise it isn't a 'modern' SUV; if I have to wait until all the speculation dies down, so be it.

Until then, I'm not riding a push bike in the rain, so I'm hardly suffering.

(And no, I can't reclaim the VAT)
