Here is a recent thread on them. Apparently not E marked, and according to Brendan does not look too promising to expect them to be E marked. So only DOT approved, which not legal for road use in Europe.

Thanks guys, apologies for not spotting the earlier thread.
How hard would it be to gain E approval as the core of the product was already approved and all that has changed is the "lens cover" which has a heating element? Have I over simplified this summary? Hi Brendan, I didnt see anythings stating that they are for military only (probably hidden in the small print) but what I did find was "The DOT symbol on the headlight signifies that it is street legal" so maybe things have moved forward even in the US? http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs/store...tId=119524 |

Hi Steve, if you look at the first link you posted the military use statement is on right hand side towards the top.
Come Bad Kissingen time I will have a chance to talk to Enrico the European rep for Truck Lites. Might be able to get some more information then. The Trucklites are now on generation 2 Edited to add, it looks like the military version has Trucklites part number 07303A, whereas the civilian version has part number 27275C Brendan Last edited by leeds on 17th Jan 2016 4:56pm. Be gentle with the agent. If it is a US military part they might not be able to sell it on the civilian market. 1995 Defender 110 CSW
