The location of the engine number n the ford units:

And the gearbox number is stamped on the side of the front casing as shown on page 3 here

I found them all bar the front axle which appears to be missing from both vehicles. |

I found the numbers had been scrubbed off the axles of my Bowler because the red blaze brings we raced were sand blasting the axle cases. If your car has spent a lot of its time in an open cast mine the same thing may have happened
