Hi All,
After a colleague at work has had two collisions in two months (one of which I was in the car), both claims are now with the solicitors after both claiming not at fault despite admitting fault at the scene. This has got me paranoid! Hearing about Blackvue being widely acclaimed on here I started surfing the web for something that I could get my hands on and put to rest my anxiety of "...yeah it's my fault" and then telling the insurance something different. I was flicking through what was available and stumbled across the DR750LW. I would have been happy with two little black camera's that I could get a picture up on my phone or Ipad, but this one had an integrated front screen that I could actually see what was happening and in the event of an incident, wouldn't need to fumble around with my phone, connect it to the camera and then start looking at the footage. That's when it tickled my curiosity, I have a 110, with a rear window guard and a cargo barrier which means anytime I look though the rear view mirror, I see a lot of cage and a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Could I use the screen and rear view camera as a reversing viewpoint? On the phone I got to Blackvue.co.uk, which is actually a distributor but nevertheless the guy confirmed it could stay on rear view and act as a rear-view camera as well as reversing aid whilst going about it's tasks of recording both front and rear views. So it would seem that I have hit 3 birds with one stone once I get it installed after my holiday. A device to record any incidents, A rear-view mirror and a reversing camera for assisting with parking or making sure I'm in line with the trailer at least. Due to it being an in car rear camera, I am not expecting to see millimetre precision due to it having to be positioned above the spare wheel, but will give me a better gauge on if I am getting close to any rogue bollards that I may have missed and generally making reverse parking a bit less hassle. Will post my findings when I get it installed and working. http://www.blackvue.co.uk/index.php/online...-58-detail =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

I've got a DW 750 installed as a rear view mirror etc.
As a camera its great, rear view mirror is OK, but as a parking aid apart from checking there's nothing in the blind spot I find it confusing and use the door mirrors, possibly because its not a mirror image on the screen, and from the forums etc there doesn't appear to be a way to change the view.
