Seat Belts
Evening all,

I have just been given a quote for a pair of genuine front seat belts for my 2004 TD5. At £115 + VAT each!

There must be a cheaper alternative without compromising quality, surely?

Search BTR6561 on EBay or Google.

£40 each sounds about right. Very Happy

DVSA seem to approve Thumbs Up

Buy some from a breaker? Theres plenty of crashed defenders knocking about. Try equicar 4x4.

Just a thought. Do you really want to by second hand from a crashed Defender? Once stretched they are no use at all. Regards
Dennis.

Theres plenty of stolen recovered defendersk knocking about, which have been stripped for valuable parts.

I'd speak to a breaker and find out what's in stock...

Agree with this. Not worth the risk buying secondhand seat belts.
Plenty of cheap brand new, approved seat belts on the bay. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Would you buy a used defender and trust the seatbelts? Wink
