There is a white V8 Defender on there too somewhere.
Put it this way, I think in my view LR are going to have to do an absolutely superb job on the new Defender to measure up. I can see it being made just more Eurobox like, and all curvy design again. etc. But, I will reserve judgment as of yet and regardless all would be out of my price bracket. I'm very happy with mine, won't be parting but if I had to for talking sake I'd definitely be interested in the Wranglers and they'd be right at the very top of the list. Tax would be high and MPG low though. The Hemi would drink more than a Sailor on a Saturday night I should think. Unlike us in the US fuel costs a lot less. *Edit* There are lots of good videos on YouTube as well of the bogger / murder scene in the USA. And other trucks Rams etc. Many are absolutely huge but the sound of the motors with the Chevy and Hemi motors in some of them with bed exhaust stacks are just superb. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

What you REALLY need is a Supercharged Hemi.
Click image to enlarge As in the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. 707 BHP! Click image to enlarge I've been lucky to have had 2 trips to the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. It's a must do event for anyone that's remotely interested in 4x4s. the town is packed full of Jeeps of all shapes and sizes, and lots other 4x4s too. I did see quite a few AEV Brutes, and had a good chat with a guy from the company. The Supercharged jeep I had a go in was this one. Completely standard otherwise, just to show that it can be done to a basic model. On a quick test drive up the highway I managed to get three 0-80mph drag runs. The guys were telling me to go faster but I chickened out with cops around. It was so smooth and the power was instant, no turbo lag or waiting for it to build up. It left me seriously impressed and wanting a 'Charged Rubicon! Click image to enlarge The Jeeps we rented for the week, pictured with the Lion's Back and Hell's Revenge trails in the background. Click image to enlarge Even the G'Cherokee went offroad, Click image to enlarge but not on the "intermediate" trails the Wrangler went on, Click image to enlarge It really is a fantastic event. Easy to do with a bit of research and booking a year ahead. Can't wait for my next trip. On the subject of fuel costs, after 6 hours driving the trails, returning to town and topping up again for the next day, it only took £10 or £12 to fill it. Less than £2 a gallon. |

For some reason everybody seems to want to avoid parking their car near to my Land Rover.
Click image to enlarge[/quote] So today I tried a more modern car (2.5lt petrol Defender) but they are still not parking near me. Click image to enlarge Other cars park there when mine isn't there. Would I be more popular if I drove a Jeep? |

A genuine 2.5 petrol. There cannot be many of those left. Very nice. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

It is six dales lane,I have sold the G.C.J when I got home from Yorkshire ,but don't worry got a 14 plate coming Thursday I loved the grey but could not get a good colour the only one's I could deal with was blue or white, and when I had a white Range Rover Sport I hated it my wife would not drive it.Coming back from Brentwood Essex it a few years age my son had just been for trail for Saracens Rugby Club he failed to small 6ft and 15 stone and 16 years old we where just talking about the number of boys who where put thought and where 6'6" and 16 stone and wondering where they from when we came though Shenfield they where filming "the only way is Essex" the bimbos thought we where part of the show ,Range Rover on Ebay next day never a white 4x4 again, but we have had plenty of good rugby.
Click image to enlarge and the little lad in green now a 6'2" and still under 16 stone bless him Click image to enlarge playing rugby league for Philadelphia Fight in the United States |

It seems like Jeep are doing a Landrover pricing tactic on us, ramping up the price of the old model before it finishes, then the jump for the new model doesn't seem so big
The JK Wrangler Rubicon 4dr had a list price of around £36k a few months ago, checking now it's up to £39 875 before any extras, around 10% up. The new model JL, already out in the US, had a significant price increase over the old model, so by the time it arrives here it will likely be £43 - £45k in my estimation. This is despite the recent change in the £-$ exchange rate, making them cheaper to import. At £36k I could have been tempted with one, no way if it's more than £40k. Ford Bronco or Suzuki Jimny will be replacing it on my 'to look at list'. |
