Ok, i have took the two batteries out and put one on trickle charge, hopefully that will cure it. I dont have a multimeter handy so couldnt get a voltage off it.
I forgot to start the ignition and then remove the negative within 15secs, i just took the battery off - will this cause me any issues? Also is there a special charger needed for the Odyssey sealed batteries?, i found one in the garage thats just a little black box with pos and neg wires coming off it and 2A on the front?. Thanks! |

When you reconnect the batteries, sit inside and press the fob to lock 4 or five times until it does.
Then unlock it straight away again on the fob and try and start it. Sounds like flat batteries, but also make sure the battery terminals are tight. ![]() |

Yep flat battery sounds like, or loose earth cable on the battery. Cheers, David

With a 2 amp charge it will take at least 24 hours to fully charge the battery, maybe even longer dependent on the ampere hour rating of the battery itself. If it's a PC 1700 nearly a day and a half as it is rated at 68 a/h. Odyssey batteries can be charged at a rate of 50 amps if you have a charger big enough apparently. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

It's in the owners manual... It's not uncommon either, just a procedure to stop the alarm sounding...

If you do need to leave it unused for significant periods why not leave an intelligent charger such as a Ctek connected? Keeps the battery in tip-top condition.
