Excellent to hear, exactly what I want to do and I've heard two people saying it worked perfectly.
Doubt I'll need to remove mine but how did you?
I'd probably use dental floss to carefully cut through it then remove the excess off.

Pulling it off is the likely reason for paint damage.

I wouldn't recommend it on 6months or newer fresh paint though.

As an aside:

As I mentioned in another thread on the subject a while ago, Sikaflex [bearing in mind there's more than one spec] is good stuff. That said if you are sticking something directly onto a painted surface then the adhesion will only be as good as the bond of the paint / primer to whatever is underneath - in this case the windscreen frame itself.

As most rigid RAI / snorkel's are held fairly firmly at the intake the top frame bracket does not have to do a lot of load bearing work. Steve.

MOG - Very true, I did read that post.
And yes, correct Sikaflex is vital.
One of the reasons why I've looked all of this up especially.

I've bought the mantec one you posted with view to doing the same thing as well as making a more watertight seal to my 102mm intake pipe with a knocked up flange. I was thinking either sikaflexing the windscreen bracket or making up a second bracket which bolts to the ex-windscreen hinge.
However the snorkel I got from paddocks has come without a windscreen bracket at all it has put the job on hold slightly!! Evil or Very Mad Tom
