From searching the web it looks like a bit of a mission, I've only looked at importing from UK so far.
I wonder if it's easier from Aussie? |

Hope the driver of the LR practices his parking a bit better than that in the NY. He'll end up on some bad driver website if not.
My nieces hubby recently imported a new 6cyl Ford ute direct from Oz with no probs that I know of but suspect he may have gone through a dealer. AlanH. PS. Don't forget a lot of UK and European vehicles have had loads of salt under them during even a short life. Be careful. |

As far as I am aware it is no easier to import a vehicle from Australia into NZ than it is one from the UK. The shipping will be cheaper but the vehicle itself will probably be more expensive due to their far higher vehicle taxes. The main rule of thumb is that it either has to be newer than 2005 or older than 20 years. That means you'd be covered for the bulk of the rules. What age vehicle are you thinking of bringing?

Hi,
An 05 TD5 DC would be ideal for what I need. Looks like they're fetching getting on for 40k in NZ. It's a small container which would be 2k + the import and handling cost. Winter's here, thanks goodness! |
