Normal! Flash whilst on dip adds main beam to the mix, so both filaments are lit.
It's actually totally normal on almost all (pre-computer) vehicles. |

Yup. Due to the defender having h4 dual filament bulbs, you can't run both filaments continuously, the bulb will overheat.
On a flash its fine and boils down to the mechanics of the switch. |

Hi Lambley, how/what did you do to get your side lights back, I've just done the mod with the loom to stop my lightswitch from burning out and, like you, lost the side light option, can you point me in the right direction pls.?

Very easy to sort, just needs the dim dip relay removing and a loop putting in its place, ten min job tops..... Cheers, Paul |
