What an excellent first car, Welcome to Land Rover ownership! My first car was a 1985 ex mod 110. Personally I'd fit wolf wheels with tyres like Michelin xzls or bf Goodrich all-terrains as they look good on anything, I may be a bit bias towards steel wheels though. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

What an excellent first car! It will be interesting to see how you get on trying to insure it when you pass your test, my son would love a Defender but can't get a reasonable quote

Spacers are a bodge and only fit for poser-mobiles. The proper way to fit alloys is to change the hubs/axles to the 300Tdi-on ones which have slimmer drive members to allow the fitment of alloy wheels.

But proper Land Rovers have steel wheels anyway.

After a lot of research, I found a very good set of wolfs with General Grabbers, many thanks to Charcoal for the suggestion.

Enjoy your 90 and make sure you've got some additional security on it - too many low life about now.

If you want to fit alloys I would suggest getting a disc brake axle from a breaker to keep thing proper, as personally I've always disliked the thought of spacers and the off set loading that the bearings will run at. 2003 Defender TD5 Hardtop (current - work in progress)

Yeah, the guy I bought it off sold the Clutch Claw with it. We always put that on wherever we take it. Matt.
