How might I go about identifying the diameter of my hose to buy the correct connector? Cheers, David

Hi David

Have you pressure tested the cap? Does the cap hold the 15psi that it should or does it release early or does it release slowly (leak). I have tested many caps (genuine and otherwise) and not all of them hold 15psi as they should.

If the cap does not hold the correct pressure you may get some boiling coolant somewhere and coolant can be pushed out of the reservoir.

I also had an engine where I could not get to the bottom of the coolant being pressurised and pushed out of the cap! I changed the cap many times, changed the reservoir, changed the EGR cooler, changed the EGR, changed the head gasket twice. Nothing I changed, when inspected, had any obvious problems. Eventually I changed the engine and problem solved!!! I still have the engine but don't know what the problem could be....

Cheers
