Just a few comments.
Rain gutter mounted light bars are quite common. However they do tend to block the rain gutter which means you can get wet getting in and out, also if your door seals are not good you get a leak into the cab. 40" plus LED light guards can throw out a serious number of lumens. The problem with such a large number of lumens is that it is possible to have too many lumens.. Reflection of reflective surfaces can be awkward, plus with that amount of light what are normally 'non reflective' surfaces can reflect enough light to appear reflective. When you go from a mega light bar back to headlights you will be apparently 'blind' as your eyes adjust to the difference in light output. Instead of one large light bar how about 3 or 4 smaller light bars, wired up as 2 or 3 different circuits That way you have some crude control over light output. Brendan |

I have a Lazer ST24 on mine. It puts out an amazing amount of light both on and off road. It's perfect for large area lighting (I'm a pyrotechnician and it was great for derigging large fireworks shows this year). I love it BUT if I was looking again I'd probably go for a T16 and a couple of ST4s. At least that way I'd have a little more control over the amount of light I'm putting out. As an aside, the reflection from the bonnet (Santorini black with black powder coat chequer plate) is minimal in comparison to the Hellas I had up there before.
