Whilst you can't condone the idiotic driving by the lorry driver, the guy was hogging the middle lane! I guess this is what was infuriating the lorry driver.

Now why, for god's sake, is the dash cam geek travelling in the middle lane if driving so slowly that the truck has to pass him? The left lane is empty. Deserves to get rammed, in my humble view. 1998 Tdi 90 SW,

As a general rule in UK we don't go in for murder on the motorways.
Although the middle lane sitting looked bad and can lead to a prosecution he had just passed another HGV in the 1st Lane, not pulling straight back in is no excuse for attempted murder or driving an HGV in 3rd Lane. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper |

The Lorry driver was in the wrong but it looks like the car driver runs a site "Police Witness .com" with cameras set up to cover all sides of his vehicle. Looks like a clear case of bating other road users. He was also in the wrong. Cheers Andy

Drove through 3 counties , reporting it in each? , he has the evidence just pull over and wait for assistance?
I have a dashcam for mine and other road users protection , not a device to share bad driving on t'internet! |

It actually looks to me in the rear-facing footage at the start as though the lorry in lane 1 is gaining on Cam-Geek and I see nothing to suggest that the car driver has just passed the lorry. On the evidence in the footage, which is clearly not exhaustive, it looks to me as though two irresponsible and stupid drivers crossed paths. Hopefully both will be prosecuted and taken off the road. |

I'd be incredibly nervous of going 'vigilante'.
Reason being right or wrong, if that person realises who was doing the filming and what vehicle you could end up one day going out side to find your Landy a pile of burnt cinders smouldering after they've had it in for you for filming proof of getting them convicted. Best left used only for accident purposes in my opinion but is down to personal decision making what is done with the filming. Sone things can be ignored, others not so. |

Point taken, and you are quite right! Using a motor vehicle as a weapon, and taking revenge on others with it is irresponsible and just plain wrong. Cam geek does however appear to be provoking trouble. Iīm with Blackwolf on this - the rear cam footage shows that he is driving slower than both HGVīs. Why? His verbal reaction at being hit by the truck sound premeditated...... 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |

He was that shook up he continued to follow said lorry for 40 minutes past his turn off to a depot in Dunstable, where he had to call for an ambulance as he was suffering with a stiff neck and shoulders due to whiplash

Seems like Mr Setup has a webcam business http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?p=80579336
Having spent the past weekend up and down the M1 I found there are far to many drivers on the road who don't know how to use a motorway who sit in lane 2, join the motorway at 40 MPH, don't indicate, using mobile phones, you name it I saw it over one weekend and not once was it a lorry driver! This is not to say that haulage drivers don't make mistakes but plod could/should do more to manage the poor driving standards on our motorways. Just my opinion |

Don't condone the actions of the lorry driver and I'd probably follow the maniac to the WHSmith depot and I'd call the ambulance so they could remove the HB pencil rammed sideways up the fat kna*kers ar**. But everything about the agrieved screams 'jobsworthy tw*t' Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
