Steering Wheel / Indicators
Hi

I would like to replace the stock wheel on my 2004 110 with something a little smaller. I took the wheel, off today to count the splines (36). I noticed the stock whel has a 'tab" arrangement to self cancel the indicators how does that work with a new wheel ? 2004 110 CSW (Called Yoda)

Hello Simali,

the replacement steering wheels (raid for example) have special hubs with the same pins to cancel the indicator.

Replacement steering wheels fit to a boss that is designed for the vehicle.

There are three types of boss for Defender, 36 spline, 48 spline and 48 spline for 2015.

It is the boss that has the pins fitted (or not in the case of 2015)

You can get the wheel from anywhere, it's the boss that's critical

We have a selection of wheels at www.fcx.co.uk

Please ensure you get the steering wheel and boss from the same range for that vehicle.

Some steering wheels have a different PCD to others so a bit of care is needed to ensure that boss and steering wheel are compatible.

We stock the Startech steering wheel which is a Raid steering wheel especially made for Startech. Startech is a German company which does top end conversions and their sixty 8 Defender is impressive.

We can supply the full range of Raid steering wheels although not on our webshop yet.

If you are interested in Momo steering wheels you can find your closet dealer here

Thank you for pointing that out Brendan, although most aftermarket bosses cater for the two main types of steering wheel PCD so no need to worry

No need to use the 'closet' or even the closest dealer as most will send by mail order rather than you having to collect - using the search function that Brendan has kindly put up and entering 'TN27' you will see that we, 'FCX Defender Outfitters' are an accredited MOMO dealer Thumbs Up

We also are the UK dealer for 'Snap off' quick release fittings http://www.fcx.co.uk/#!steering-wheels/c1jtv

Snap off set up with leather trimmed FCX boss (bottom picture) and Startech steering wheel (the larger rubber clad boss is a Startech one)
