Diesel leak
o.k. got a small problem with Gertie our 1999 td5 110.

The flexible fuel pipe that is a push fit into the fuel cooler on the side of the engine keeps coming off .... bit annoying when contents of your fuel tank doesn't quite reach the engine.

Lpoks like I'm going to have to buy a new flexible pipe, but till then , any ideas as to how to keep the current one on until I can get home?

In terms of replacement, how far back does it go? is it an under the car job?

cable ties ?

In terms of replacement, how far back does it go? is it an under the car job all the way the the Back Exclamation £ 200 + from replacement and lots of time under the 110

if you measure the pipe on the fuel cooler you can replace damage fitting

try this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111658203599?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

Thanks dorsetsmith

Yup cable ties were my 1st thought and its worked..... Even better, fixed it in daylight without it sipping it down.

Yup found out that it goes all the way back, part number WJP500090 £167 +vat for land rover part.

I'll check out the link you sent
..... o.k. they look good. be better than cost of full fuel line .... time to measure the pipe I guess
