My Defender leaks between the tub (the pickup bit) and the sides (the hard top bit). At least, when it rains hard I get a puddle on the wheel arch box, the sides above the join aren't wet, there's water obviously sitting inside and now I've taken the sides off the roam is wet in a few areas.
I have the roof off to get it resprayed, and have taken the side off to have a look. In order to stop it leaking, what is my best option? Replace the foam bit? (Is that going to be silly expensive?) Run a bead of sealant along before I but the sides back on? Try and bolt the sides down tighter? Something else? |

I would inspect and replace the foam seal if required, then use a tall bead of Innotec Adheseal or similar to seal the joint.
I've just refitted my body cappings, sides and roof using Adheseal and its really good kit. ![]() Click image to enlarge http://www.innotecworld.com/products/seala...oductid=29 Sandy |

Mine does the exact same so used sealant along the outside edges to cover the foam!!
Would definitely replace the foam so you know it's good and as said add a good bead top and bottom |
