Okay - so indicators are direct swap with no problems.
I had to make the bolt holes a little wider in order to allow the screw to go back into the original hole with no issues. I have a reverse light as the fog light with an LED red 382 bulb - no issues there either. It has 12 LEDs and isn't quite enough so going to max it out at 24 soon. As warned about the red bulbs I can confirm that I had one in and yes it shine a bright pink. Brake lights - the current bulb holder will fit the BritPart lense base but not 100% secure so some electrical tape will be used to ensure it doesn't move round to be certain. I purchased the wrong bulbs so got some 24 red LED 1157 bulbs on their way so will report back next week with hopefully the final setup and a few pics to show people how to get it working. The indicators aren't led as a relay is needed to make them flash correctly - that's £30 and I'm on about £50 so far with experimenting. Total without issues would be be about £25 for the setup of led and standard bulbs purely to give the clear lense look at the back. |

Been a while but here is what's needed for the setup for anyone else wanting to do this -
4 Clear indicators including bulbs to cover swapping 2 x indicators and 2 x stop lights - http://www.paddockspares.com/xbd100670-cle...-bulb.html 1 x Puma Reverse light - Check LRS off road, Urban Truck or any auction sites - you can get new ones or pattern ones but I wanted them to match 2 x 380 P21 5W 12V LED (24 LEDs) lights - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131004784480?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT 1 x 382 P21 5W 12V LED (24 LEDs) lights - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231667342338?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT Here's what to do - Indicators a. Drill the screw holes on the indicator shells slightly wider with a drill bit the next size up so you can position the screws to line up. 1. Unscrew the indicators and remove the shell and bulb leaving just the connector. 2. Twist in the new amber coloured bulb and Twist on you new indicator covers. 3. Screw them back on and test they work! Fog Light 1. Unscrew the light and remove the shell and bulb. 2. Put in your new LED 382 bulb. 3. Put on the new reverse light. 4. Turn the ignition on, lights on and then fog light on to test Brake Lights a. Drill the screw holes on the indicator shells slightly wider with a drill bit the next size up so you can position the screws to line up. 1. Unscrew the brake lights and remove the shell and bulb leaving just the connector. 2. Twist in the new LED 380 bulb and Twist on you new indicator covers - these wont fit perfectly and untwist easily as the connectors are different, so I added electrical tape and drilled in a small hole with self tapping screw to secure. 3. Screw them back on and test they work! Cost break down - Indicators £12 (£3 each) Reverse light £8 382 fog light - £1.25 (From Asia so cheaper than here) 380 Brake light (for two) - £7.45 (From UK - can get these if you order from Asia, but take longer to come) Comes to total of - £28.70 or cheaper if you buy bulbs from further afield and are not impatient like me Last edited by Cake on 5th Feb 2016 12:42pm.
