Should I put this piece off metal back?
I had to change the oilseal between the Transferbox and gearbox, At least I hope that was leaking, could not see anything else. Shocked And now I am wondering if I should put this piece off metal back to the transfer box:

I know it is placed there against vibrations, but will I really notice additional vibrations or just the fuel saving due to the lower weight? Whistle

So let me know if I should place it back and why. Roel

It will stay off for a while. The handbrake has to come off anyway as I have to replace the cable. I had the wrong one ready to go under Evil or Very Mad I thought I had repaired the leak, But after putting everything back and making a 8 km testdrive it is still leaking.
So it is not the seal around the input shaft, And it is not the middle shaft that comes through the housing but it comes somewhere from there. And yes it come out off the transfer box as that level is dropping more then half a litre over 400km so a little more then 200 Mile.

The search continues. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Roel
