I thought the first rule of MS operating systems is to never get on at the ground floor.
I have clicked the box to say I want but I won't be downloading it for a while yet. |

That was always my thinking, leave it till they iron out the bugs but I fell for the hype. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Yes you can't beat Apple's Yosemite for an OS. The beauty is you have virtually the same interface on your iPhone and iPad. I don't see MS competing with Google and Apple when it comes to mobile devices.

As long as you buy a Mac to put it on it'll work fine.
After resisting for many years (and around once a month to sort out Windows) I eventually took the plunge. Wish I'd moved over years ago. |

Yes, it gives you the option as with any update..............uninstall update.. It took an hour to upload and 4minutes to return to windows 8.1 which was just as I left it, all in working order. You only get 28 days I think to uninstall Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

My free windows 10 upgrade downloaded today, I have not installed it yet, and to be honest not sure I will, quite happy with windows 7, might give it a go on my laptop though. Just to see.
I have used windows since the 95 version and have used all windows operating systems since Vista drove me to distraction! Personally I think XP was the best most stable of them all. Why have an operating system that is the best on all operating systems, phones, tablets, Pc’s, or am I just being old fashioned. My toughbook is win7 and i5/8gb .. Going to try that I at the weekend - like it, it's better than 8/8.1 Last edited by bpman on 18th Oct 2015 5:29pm. Edited 1 time in total |
