Flatdog Roofrack
Hi

Just fitted my Flatdog roof rack and very pleased with it.

For those of you who have one already can I ask a few questions.

There are no black plastic covers for the feet to roof gutter bolts and they are very visible against the black roof rack. Has anyone fitted covers to improve the looks?

There is no security in the fitting of the rack and if you had an alan key and a 13mm spanner (and a few mates) you could have it away in 5 minutes. Has anyone done any security to their rack to stop this? Advice welcome.

Finally I may have scratched my rack fitting it eh hem! Any advice on touch up paint?

Cheers

Tank

If someone nicks it then it's easy to replace and that's why it's listed on your insurance as an add on extra Thumbs Up

not on a flat dog, but I added these to cover bright bolts on roof bars:

(check size)

Also decided it would remove potential snagging of awning on bolt heads

Yes they come with covers for all the bolts except the ones which connect the feet to the gutters. Phoned them today and they are looking into it. I know its just sad cosmetics but it would finish it off Smile

Thanks just need to figure out what size I have. They tightened with a 10mm socket I think or maybe a 13mm, need to check then work out what size covers I would need Smile
