they're telling me without chassis number and number plate / registered they can't invoice for it.
however just been told they've found another one ready to roll from another dealer? why do they just happen to have one hanging around when there's a 3month wait - is there something fishy going on or is it just me being suspicious? what do i do? go for it - ready end of month? |

I wouldn't be too worried about one being available from stock, I've just purchased exactly what your looking for, a 110 CSW XS in Stornaway. Dealer looked on the system and had the choice of a couple that were available. When it came into stock I saw it still had all the seat covers and external foam paint protectors on it, so not showroom stock or driven.
It was built on 22/7, I did the deal on 15/9 and collected it on 3/10 - biggest delay was the transfer of my private plate. However, as repoted in other threads, my dealer was telling me that there now seems to be a hold on some built vehicles - another of his customers are effected (or they were on Sunday!) All Land Rovers are sold at production.
From my understanding dealers order (or get told/given) a variety - so sometimes these are either going to in a dealer pool as avaliable, to a forecourt, demonstrator etc. New model launches etc they will be told their allocation. Hence you get cars avaliable in the system "sold" but not Mike |

James - thanks for the offer on the black jobbie.
its taken me along time to be sure of the grey so please don't go there mentioning other colours job done - the grey should be ready in a few days but I've asked them to hold it until end of month - still need to do a couple more bank jobs. so now onto all the extras! I think I can just about afford a bic for the cubbie box |

Me too! Stornaway 110 SW XS, looks the dogs! Mine was built in May, delivered to the dealer Sept and as above was still covered in all the protective gubbins from the factory. The only slight fly in the ointment was I didn't know about the tax change for 2011 my so have missed out a bit there! Hey ho.... |

Like you say hay ho.
Although I'm getting the £200 road tax my understanding is I'm likely to pay a bit more on insurance (I hope not but lets wait and see). other than that sounds like we've got / will be getting the same tool. out of interest what tyres you got - the lastest come with Continentals (I think - there certainly a new tyre - not the general grabbers and I dont know if they're any good?) |

It does look good in grey. I've just had a look and mine has got Grabber TRs on, no issues so far, they are quiet and seem ok on both wet and dry tarmac but it's not seen bad mud or slopes yet so I don't know how they will cope off road....
